Internal knowledge search

Ask anything across your Notion, Drive, Slack, and Confluence — get an answer with citations, not ten links and a guess.

The Problem

Knowledge in a 200-person company lives in eight tools. Half the team can't find the policy doc, the runbook, or the last design decision. Onboarding takes weeks of asking questions.

The Approach
  1. 01

Built per-source connectors (Notion, Drive, Slack, Confluence, GitHub) with proper permission enforcement so users only retrieve what they could already see.

  2. 02

Indexed into pgvector with chunking tuned per source type and a re-rank pass on retrieval.

  3. 03

Designed the answer UI to always cite sources inline — no source, no claim.

  4. 04

Implemented a 'this answer was wrong' loop that the team can act on without engineering.

  5. 05

Built admin tooling for source pruning, freshness windows, and quality dashboards.

Companies don't lack knowledge. They lack a search box that respects who's asking.

The Outcome
  • Onboarding time drops sharply.

  • The same answers stop being asked in Slack for the hundredth time.

  • Decision history becomes searchable, not tribal knowledge.

  • Engineering time spent answering basic questions falls.
